Rain or Shine
We open outdoors at Center School (last year's location) on Saturday, June 14, 10 am - 1 pm. In addition to our returning vendors and a few new ones, we are offering student activities around the theme of sustainable agriculture led by Fran Clem of Bantam. There will be 2 sessions: 10-11 am and 12-1 pm. Additionally, Hickory Stick Book Shop is sponsoring story hour which will be at 11 am. Both of these activities will be held on a weekly basis at the market.
Returning from last year are CT-grown vendors offering fruits, vegetables, beef, cheese, bread, milk, eggs flowers, plants and more! In addition new vendors and programs have been added in response to customer and vendor requests.
WEEKLY programs include:
- Story hour at 11 am sponsored by Hickory Stick Book Shop. Books chosen will be consistent with the market’s goal of CT-Grown, sustainable agriculture and healthy lifestyles.
- Chef-in-residence demonstrating and sampling recipes from products at the market that week. This is also is partially supported by a CT State grant.
There’s something for everyone at the market. See your neighbors, enjoy the offerings and support CT-Grown products. It’s CT food, fun and community for all ages!
